Song Databases
If you have your song or karaoke catalog stored in a file, you can upload it to Lime DJ and allow your audience to search it and make requests from it…
This means that you will receive song requests from what you actually have available or your repertoire if you are a band or performer.
Preparing your songlist...
If you have a PRO account or have paid to add on a database to your casual account simply prepare a csv file with STRICTLY TWO COLUMNS.
Have Artist Names in first column and Song Titles in the second column.
We recommend Google Sheets for this as it is free and super easy!
Download it to your computer...
Once you have TWO COLUMNS in your Google Sheet, click on File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv)
Create song database...
Once you have your song list csv file downloaded to your computer, click on Databases in the left menu and give your database a name eg; DJ Set, Karaoke List, Live Set, etc… and a bit of a description so you know what it is.
Click Next when you’re done.
Upload your file...
Click the + icon and select the .csv file that you downloaded from Google Sheets and uploading will begin.
If upload is successful you will see a confirmation message and your song list is ready to use in a show.
Editing your songlist...
You can edit your songlist at any time by visiting the Song Manager page in the menu and selecting the database that you would like to edit.
You can also add to or completely replace your songlist with a new .csv file at anytime by clicking on your songlist name on the Databases page.
Use your songlist in a show...
To use your uploaded songlist, create a show and open the Show Settings page… ensure Use Song Database is enabled and select the songlist you wish to use.
You can purchase more song databases to use on your account at anytime for unlimited songlists to choose from.
