How To - Use TIDAL with Music Bingo
TIDAL is a streaming platform that can be used by DJ playout software such as Serato and rekordbox.
Our integration with TIDAL allows your to read and create playlists in TIDAL from within Lime DJ for use with our Music Bingo feature.
How to use TIDAL with Music Bingo
There are two main ways to use TIDAL with Music Bingo:
Option 1
- Create a playlist(s) in TIDAL containing at least 75 songs
- Go to 'Manage Themes' and click on 'Create Theme from TIDAL playlist'
- Click on the playlist you want to use to create a Theme and follow the instructions to import the playlist
- Create a new Music Bingo Game and select your theme under the 'Your Themes' tab
- Disable shuffle at the bottom of the page so that the game play screen will present the songs to you in the same order as your playlist in your TIDAL account.
- Optional: Click View/Edit Songlist to view the songs, click and drag songs to re-arrange the order if desired. Click on 'Save TIDAL Playlist' to save a new playlist back to your TIDAL account with the updated song order.
- Open the game from the main Music Bingo page and start play, have your matching TIDAL playlist loaded in your playout software ready to match the songs as they are presented to you
Option 2
- Create large, genre or theme based playlists in TIDAL containing 100s of songs each
- Go to 'Manage Themes' and click on 'Create Theme from TIDAL playlist'
- Click on the playlist you want to use to create a Theme and follow the instructions to import the playlist
- Create a new Music Bingo Game and select your theme under the 'Your Themes' tab
- Lime DJ will use your selected Theme as a pool of songs to select the required number to create your game. Keep shuffle enabled.
- Optional: Click View/Edit Songlist to view the songs, click and drag songs to re-arrange the order if desired. Click on 'Save TIDAL Playlist' to save a new playlist back to your TIDAL account with the updated song order.
- Open the game from the main Music Bingo page and start play, have your corresponding TIDAL playlist loaded in your playout software ready to match the songs as they are presented to you
